Model Publication Scheme

In last year’s Audit the Cyngor was told that its Publication Scheme was inadequate, even though it had been approved by the Information Commissioners. Since then the Clerk has been trying to obtain guidance on a new scheme but the Information Commissioner’s website had continually said that new proposals would be introduced shortly. Proposals are now available, although they are difficult to follow, and the Cyngor is expected to introduce a new Publication scheme by the end of the year. Guidance has been sought from Un Llais Cymru and they have told the Clerk that further information from the Information Commissioners will become available in November.

Remembrance Sunday

The Clerk was reminded that he would need to obtain a wreath. Cllr Byron Jenkins proposed that the Clerk be authorised to make a payment of £5 plus cost for the wreath.

Accident

A further accident has occurred near the entrance to Wenallt Farm. The Clerk was asked to report the matter to Highways and suggest the installation of crash barriers along this stretch of road.

Lamps at New Cross

A number of people have complained about the lack of lighting outside Tafarn y Gors. The Clerk was asked to write to Andrew Davies.

Planning delays

Severe planning delays, which seem unnecessary, were preventing local families at Gilfach and Melinucheldre from making progress with their housing needs. The Clerk was asked to write to Planning about these delays.
